We have a very active school Green Committee made up of teachers and students. All classes from Junior Infants to 6th are represented.

We were awarded First Place in Dunlaoghaire-Rathdowne Co. Council Green School - Best Garden Competition for 2017.

The boys from St. Laurence's BNS are very proud of how well our school looks and particularly of our school garden.

We also returned to planting in our garden after the harsh weather earlier this year. Lots of classes like to get involved.

Spring has finally arrived in our garden.

Ms. Doohan brought some tadpoles up from Co. Clare. We really hope that they like their new surroundings in our garden!

We are avid bird-watchers. Mr. Moran helps us to ensure all birds are fed during the week.

We are very proud of our Dinosaur garden. A new stegosaurus will be arriving shortly. Take look at the drawing of one we have done in anticipation.

And here he is!! We put lots of time and effort into designing and painting him.  He is now fixed to the wall in the dinosaur garden.

Students have also been busy, drawing and painting a beautiful tree on the wall.  Our fairy doors are a work in progress and will be placed around the garden once they are finished. Our new water feature has arrived too!

Our irises are in full bloom and give visitors such a bright welcome upon entering St. Laurence's. We would also like to say a huge thank you to the 'Lovely Ladies' who give of their time, energy and enthusiasm, to help us in our garden. Unfortunately, they are a little camera shy but we are very thankful for all that they do.
