More chess success!


Huge congratulations to Tomas, Lorcan, Felipe, Carl and Ryan, who were crowned Leinster Champions at the Community Games in Longford, last weekend.They will now go forward to represent Leinster in the finals with their fellow winning teammates, from St. Raphaelas.Best of luck boys!!

Chess – Leinster Final


Huge congratulations to the St. Laurence’s chess teams, who competed in the Leinster final yesterday. The B team came in 1st place and the A team finished in 2nd place, losing out to last year’s All Ireland winners. Well done to all involved, especially Brendan Cooney, for his time, energy and expertise. Thank you also to Ms. Gavin!

Chess Team – Latest News!


Congratulations to our second Chess team who topped the group last Friday to qualify for the Leinster B finals on February the 11th. The event took place in St. Laurence’s B.N.S .and was attend by four other local schools: Hollypark B.N.S,  Guardian Angels, Oatlands and St. Raphaelas.

Brendan Martin Cup Visit


All Ireland winning, Dublin footballers, Lauren Magee and Aoife Kane, visited St. Laurence’s recently, with the Brendan Martin Cup.  They are part of the Dublin Senior Panel and play their club football with Kilmacud Crokes.Aoife and Lauren were asked many questions, about their training and preparation for matches.
